Block one: life in the Farm

Living on a farm is an incredible experience, surrounded by nature. While life on the farm is amazing, it also involves a lot of hard work. From a young age, my siblings and I have been working with our father. Learning to drive a tractor and work in agriculture taught us the value of staying humble and understanding that nothing gets done without hard work. It also taught us to keep smiling and persevere, even when times are tough.

Waking up before sunrise and working for hours to prepare the soil for new plants is not an easy job, but it's necessary. I've learned that sometimes you have to do things you don't enjoy, but it's important to focus on the bigger picture.

Block Two : Military

Where I come from, military service is mandatory, and it turned out to be very different from what I expected. I served in the armored corps, starting as a tank gunner, and after almost two years, I transitioned to a logistics role. Military service is full of unexpected experiences, but what made it special were the people. Going through tough times with trusted friends made the service enjoyable.

During my time in the military, I learned a lot about myself and how I react in different situations. I developed leadership skills and learned to take responsibility. In the tank, being unprepared affected everyone. As a logistics manager, I ensured that everyone had food, water, clothing, and everything else they needed. If I didn't do my job, no one else would.

Block three : moving to a different county

Towards the end of my military service, I began thinking about what I wanted to do next. The idea of moving to a different country intrigued me, so I decided to go for it. I applied to Hotelschool The Hague and was accepted, but I had to pass an English exam before a certain deadline. It took me five attempts, but I eventually passed and started my studies in February 2020.

During my first year, I moved back to my home country for six months due to COVID-19 and studied online. This was challenging, and I failed most of my classes. In my second year, I returned to the Netherlands, and classes resumed in person. While preparing for my second-year exams, I also had to retake some first-year exams. With hard work, I completed my second year and began the third without any exams to retake.

Writing my thesis while working during my third year was a challenging but rewarding experience. I discovered that exams and studies don't come easily to me, and I faced many struggles. However, I managed to pass all my exams and earned my bachelor's degree on time.

One thing I learned about myself is that failure doesn't matter as much as what you do afterward. I decided to take my struggles and problems in stride, persevering until I succeeded.

You work hard towards your goal. once you achieved it your forget how hard you work for it but the results stays
